At Caterpillar's Indonesia Batam, we manufacture Hydraulic Shovels products used in building the infrastructure and mining to move materials that makes a better world.
As a Manufacturing Technician at Caterpillar Indonesia Batam for torque process, you will perform basic activities to assist in the torque process of various products per established facility processes including set-up, trial, and testing prior handover to operation, support calibration activity with the quality team, and support production operation feedback and improvement.

You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.
Domestic relocation is available for this position.
What You Will Do:
- Conducting basic assembly tooling troubleshooting, records, Machine Capability Index (CmK calculation), and sustained production.
- Operating basic production equipment and tools in the torque process of various products.
- Following blueprints, guidelines, diagrams, and schematics to ensure product and customer specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Assisting as part of the manufacturing team in modifying existing equipment or designing new equipment for continual manufacturing process improvement, as well as quality control and in-process production testing.
What You Have:
- Good proficiency in English.
- Able to read mechanical drawings and understand GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Proficiently in computer-assisted design (CAD) like Creo and SolidWorks.
Top Candidates Will Also Bring:
- Minimum Diploma (D3) with 3 years of experience or University degree (S1) fresh graduates with a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering-related degree are welcome to apply.
- Have experience related to the torquing process.
- Prior experience working or internship in a manufacturing environment with thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts related to torque process.
Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):
- This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
