Survey and Inspection:
Conduct on-site surveys to assess the existing MEP systems and infrastructure.
Inspect mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
Design Review:
Review and analyze MEP design plans and drawings for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Identify potential issues or conflicts in the design that may impact the construction process.
Coordination:
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure proper coordination between MEP systems and other building components.
Resolve design and installation conflicts to avoid delays and cost overruns.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor the quality of MEP installations during construction to ensure adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
Conduct quality inspections and tests to verify the functionality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Documentation:
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of survey findings, inspections, and quality assessments.
Maintain accurate records of changes, approvals, and any deviations from the original design.
Cost Estimation:
Assist in the estimation of costs related to MEP systems, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Provide input into budgeting and cost control processes.
Compliance:
Stay updated on relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards related to MEP systems.
Ensure that all MEP installations comply with local, state, and national building codes.
Preferably very expert in electrical.
Requirements:
Education: A bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in MEP design, construction, or inspection.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Communication Skills: Good communication English skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to diverse project stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address issues in MEP designs and installations.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in using relevant software tools for MEP design and analysis.
Familiarity with building information modelling (BIM) is often beneficial.
Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Professional Engineer (PE) or other industry-specific certifications, may be preferred or required.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate with professionals from various disciplines.
