Dyatmika School is a not for profit school with an excellent reputation in Bali and beyond. We are seeking a qualified and committed TA for the Physical Education (PE) department to join our talented team.
The position starts on 1st August 2024.
Dyatmika is committed to a strong Physical Education and sports program. Students receive lessons each week and there are many different Extra Curricular sporting clubs and teams taking place each week after school. Dyatmika students are interested in learning and are a pleasure to teach. All students are encouraged to participate in and enjoy different sports, with some students performing at high levels in school teams and other teams in Bali.
The Physical Education TA will work within an excellent team of 4 Physical Education teachers, assisting in the delivery of Physical Education and sports to students between the ages of 3 and 18 years old.
Staff are expected to follow the vision and mission of Dyatmika School and must be flexible and adaptable when carrying out their duties.
Duties will include; Assisting the PE teachers during lessons, equipment set up and organisation, supporting the Head of PE with sports facilities checks and safety inspections.
We ask that you:
- have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (S1) or other relevant Physical Education qualifications together with a Bachelor's Degree in Education.
- experience of teaching / coaching sports to students, preferably in a school setting
- a good level of English language
- have experience, interest and a good skill level in a at least one sport
- are organised, proactive and enthusiastic
- be in good physical health and a role model for students
It would also be an advantage to have:
- previous experience as a Physical Education Teaching Assistant, or Teacher, in a school setting
- experience teaching bilingual students
- experience of coaching
- confidence in umpiring and refereeing different sporting activities.
