As the Product Development Specialist for the Snack category, you will play a pivotal role in creating and enhancing snack products that captivate consumer tastes. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual with a proven track record in Product Development within the food industry.
Responsibilities- Ideation and Conceptualization:
- Generate innovative ideas and concepts for new snack products in line with market trends and consumer preferences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate ideas into viable product concepts.
- Recipe Development:
- Develop and refine snack recipes, ensuring a balance of taste, texture, and nutritional value.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Market Research:
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging consumer preferences in the Snack Category.
- Conduct research to identify gaps and opportunities in the market.
- Prototyping and Testing:
- Create prototypes of snack products for testing and evaluation.
- Iterate on formulations based on feedback, market testing, and internal assessments.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that snack products comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and regulatory teams to address any compliance issues.
- Cost Analysis:
- Work closely with the finance team to conduct cost analysis for new and existing snack products.
- Optimize formulations to meet cost targets without compromising quality.
- Collaboration with Suppliers:
- Liaise with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and materials for snack Product Development.
- Negotiate and establish relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable sourcing.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Min 2 years of proven experience in Product Development within the food industry, preferably in the Snack Category.
- Creative mindset with the ability to translate consumer insights into innovative snack concepts.
- Strong knowledge of food regulations and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
