Job Description:
- Production Oversight:
Supervise and coordinate the daily production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards. - Ensure efficient use of ingredients and resources to minimize waste and control costs.
- Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate the pastry production team, providing guidance and training as needed. - Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to enhance productivity and creativity.
- Quality Assurance:
Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to guarantee the consistency and excellence of all Pastry and Bakery products. - Conduct regular inspections and tastings to uphold the highest standards.
- Inventory Management:
Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking of baking supplies, ingredients, and finished products. - Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality of ingredients.
- Production Scheduling:
Develop and maintain production schedules to meet daily demands and special orders. - Coordinate with other kitchen departments to optimize workflow and ensure timely delivery.
- Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular training sessions on kitchen safety procedures. - Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of production quantities, inventory levels, and any relevant documentation.
Provide regular reports to management on production efficiency, quality control, and inventory status.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Production Pastry Chef or similar role.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of pastry production techniques and baking processes.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
