Job Description

McConnell Dowell is an international main contractor who has been active in South East Asia since 1971 and has a long history of successful project delivery in the region. We are looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor with contracts management experience for our water treatment project in Indonesia.

About the Role:

• Assist the Commercial Manager to compile quantities and cost to support Variation submissions.
• Assist with compiling progress claim and payments for the project.
• Ensure the efficient and effective management of subcontracts for the project.
• To value add to the contract management process of the Project to ensure the profitability of the project is maximised.
• Adherence to the McConnell Dowell Integrated Management System and Project Execution Plan.
• Head Contract Administration responsible for measurement and valuation of the works, payment claim, and managing change/ Variations/extension of time.
• Subcontract/ supplier administration in payment claims, variation claims and closing out accounts.
• Track change instructions, revision to drawings, free issue material deliveries and correspondence.
• Maintain detailed and organized files.
• Prepare contract change notices, monitor contractor performance, including the reporting and status of contractor and owner deliverables.
• Maintain an audit file for each contract which will include original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules.
• Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding contract status, facilitate contractor meetings.
• Ensure that contractor is in compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications and government regulations.
• Perform closing activities as needed.
• Track payments and deadlines.
• Analyse and mitigate risk.
• Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy.

About You:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Contracts Management related discipline
• 5 years of relevant contracts management experience in civil construction projects
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
