SUMMARY
About the Role – Storeroom Clerk
The storeroom clerk’s responsibilities include but are not limited to logging, releasing and inventorying items in the storeroom area. This person must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry a moderate weight, have good communication skills, and be comfortable working on a team and independently.
Some of the responsibilities include:
· The hotel storeroom clerk is primarily responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and equipment for the daily hotel operations.
· Work closely with the purchasing department, maintain hotel stores, and conduct weekly inventories of consumables, chemicals, equipment, uniforms, etc.
· Involves making requests for supplies, receiving deliveries, and ensuring the cleanliness of all work areas.
· Keeping storage and receiving areas clean and tidy and enforcing all hotel standards and procedures.
· Responsible for performing inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs and regularly carrying out physical stock audits.
· Responsible for keeping inventory and stock records and compiling records of expenditures/consumptions periodical
· Responsible for receiving and dispatching all goods and deliveries in and out of the hotel to the appropriate point of contact/storage area, following standards for issuing/ receiving stock within the store’s area of operation.
· Ensure the store requisition form is signed by the person collecting the goods and entering them into the Inventory/Materials Management System.
