The Supplier Quality Management Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Supplier Quality within the company. This includes developing and implementing Supplier Quality programs, conducting supplier audits, identifying and resolving quality issues, and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Supplier Quality programs, including supplier selection, qualification, and performance monitoring.
- Conduct supplier audits to assess compliance with company quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse supplier performance data and identify trends and potential issues.
- Work with suppliers to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified quality problems.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including purchasing, engineering, and production teams.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements for Supplier Quality management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality management, preferably in the pump industry.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies, such as Six Sigma and ISO 9001.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in conducting supplier audits and developing corrective action plans.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and data analysis tools.
- Working knowledge of pump manufacturing processes and quality requirements is a plus.
- Ability to travel as needed.
