Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Staff to join our finance team. The Accounting Staff will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to support the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
Financial Data Entry and Recording:
- Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
- Prepare and post journal entries for revenue, expenses, accruals, and adjustments.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable ledgers.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process accounts payable invoices, verify coding, and ensure timely payment to vendors.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements as needed.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to support decision-making.
Payroll Processing:
- Prepare and process payroll transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Calculate employee salaries, wages, deductions, and withholdings.
- Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
General Accounting Support:
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects and analysis as assigned by the Finance Manager or Controller.
- Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external parties regarding financial matters.
- Provide support during month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance role preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
