Job Description
Oversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance activities, including the preparation and filing of tax returns for corporate income tax, VAT, and other indirect taxes.Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of deferred tax assets and liabilities in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and coordinate with financial reporting teams to incorporate deferred tax impacts into financial statements.Develop and execute tax strategies to optimise the company's tax position, including the management of deferred tax assets and liabilities, to minimise tax liabilities and maximise tax efficiency.Provide strategic advice on deferred tax matters to internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and senior management, to support decision-making processes and enhance financial performance.Liaise with external auditors and tax advisor to ensure accurate and timely reporting of deferred tax positions and to address any audit inquiries or assessments related to deferred taxes.Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on deferred tax matters, including the interpretation of accounting standards, the impact of deferred tax on financial statements, and the implications for business decisions.Assist in the implementation of tax-efficient structures and transactions that may have deferred tax implications, such as business acquisitions, disposals, and reorganisations.Maintain accurate documentation and supporting schedules for deferred tax assets and liabilities in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Prepare deferred tax reconciliations, analyses, and disclosures for inclusion in financial statements and regulatory filings, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, CTA) preferred.Minimum 5 years in tax compliance, planning, and advisory roles, preferably in manufacturing or multinational corporations. Experience in an accounting firm strongly preferred.Strong understanding of Indonesian tax laws (e.g., corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing). Experience in deferred tax accounting and reporting (IFRS) highly valued.Excellent problem-solving abilities to interpret complex tax regulations and provide practical solutions to mitigate tax risks and optimise tax outcomes.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia to effectively convey complex tax issues to stakeholders.Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities to enhance tax efficiency, minimise tax liabilities, and support business objectives.Team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations) to align tax strategies with business goals and compliance requirements.
