• Develop and implement a purchasing strategy focused on schedule, quality, and cost• Negotiate prices and contracts with vendors• Manage purchase orders and schedule deliveries• Ensure quality assurance of procured items• Manage and develop the purchasing team• Identify and implement strategies to streamline processes• Perform data analysis and reporting• Create and manage budgets for purchasing and logistics• Coordinate with other departments to monitor inventory• Willingness to travel to vendor locations
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree preferred• At least 10 years' experience in purchasing• Experience in supporting construction projects in developing countries• Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, research, analytical, and interpersonal skills• Previous experience managing a team• Proficient in procurement software and databases• Attention to detail is crucial• Construction technical background is advantageous
