Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for in-depth understanding of Import and Export regulation for relevant Indonesia markets, in particular to Electronic and Home products industries.
- Work with all stakeholders to implement appropriate internal trade compliance processes and procedures to comply with all applicable import/export and customs regulations.
- Assist in the development, coordinate and maintain a central database of compliance-related data, licenses, and other required documentation.
- Keep abreast of new regulations and programs that may impact business and communicate these to the Commodity Team to take the appropriate actions or make decisions.
- HS CODE classification & regulatory both in China and Indonesia.
- Tax rate confirmation & optimization.
- Certificate processing (PI BPOM SNI POSTEL).
- Indonesian customs clearance strategy and execution, risk management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5 years experience in import/export customs or trade consulting. Knowledge in electric and home products industries in Indonesia is advantageous.
- Proven experience in customs clearance operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and international trade compliance.
- Strong understanding of tariff classifications, valuation methods, and duty calculation.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex customs regulations and trade agreements effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customs authorities, internal stakeholders, and external service providers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing regulations and operational requirements in the customs environment.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin may be advantageous.
- Experience in applying for certification such like PI, BPOM, SNI, POSTEL may be advantageous.
