As a Dim Sum Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of Dim Sum dishes that meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality. You will work closely with the culinary team to develop new recipes and ensure consistent delivery of exceptional Dim Sum offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Chinese cuisine, particularly Dim Sum, and possess a deep understanding of traditional cooking techniques.
Responsibilities- Create and prepare a variety of Dim Sum dishes, including dumplings, buns, and rolls
- Ensure all Dim Sum items are prepared and cooked to perfection
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new Dim Sum recipes
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory and control food costs
- Train and mentor his/her sub-ordinates
- Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in Dim Sum preparation
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional Dim Sum dishes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dim Sum Chef
- Strong background in Chinese cuisine, particularly in Dim Sum preparation
- Deep understanding of traditional Dim Sum cooking techniques and ingredients
- Creative and innovative mindset to develop new Dim Sum recipes
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills
