As a EHS Technician at SPM Oil and Gas, you will Performs basic office duties and administrative support to the Company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) departments required.
As the EHS Technician, you will:
- Support Company EHS Department to implement EHS Policy, standards, protocols, and procedures in compliance with local/state/federal EHS rules and regulations.
- Assist Company EHS Manager and/or EHS Coordinator to register and update the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control.
- Assist Company EHS Manager and/or EHS Coordinator to register and update the Environmental Aspect Impact.
- Control all documents related to EHS such as procedures, work instructions and forms (registration and distribution to the related parties).
- Organize the filing management to ensure all EHS related documentation and records are stored properly.
- Update EHS logbook such as PPE distribution list, Lifting Tag distribution List, permit to work, etc.
- Conduct EHS Induction for contractor/vendor and visitor.
- Conduct regular EHS Inspection and observation.
- Assist the Company EHS Manager and/or EHS Coordinator in EHS audit.
- Assist the Company EHS manager and/or EHS Coordinator in EHS monitoring activities including but not limited to monthly report data, minutes of meetings, hazard and incident reports, investigation reports, training plan monitoring, EHS inspection and conversation monitoring, etc.
- Assist the Company EHS manager and/or EHS Coordinator to provide EHS training and/or toolbox talk material.
- Cascade any EHS related information down to the employee.
The successful candidate must bring:
- Good proficiency in English.
- Minimum bachelor's degree or Diploma with equivalent work experience.
- Three to Five years of EHS related work experience in the manufacturing industry is required.
- Safety Officer Training certificate from approved training institute or Young Occupation Health and Safety Expert (AK3 Muda) certified by BNSP.
- Proactive to increase EHS performance in the organization Knowledge of shop operations and maintenance procedures is required.
Top candidates will also bring:
- Experience in writing reports and presentations (able to process available data for reporting and presentation needs).
- Able to act wisely and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
- Exceptional Interpersonal and Communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Knowledge of EHS management information systems is a plus).
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.

Work location: Jl. Bukit Girang TT II, Batu Ampar, Batam 29444
You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment.
Domestic relocation is not available for this position.
