Some of your duties will include:
- Responsible for overseeing the mechanical systems of the Power Plant and LNG facility.
- Coordinate large-scale mechanical engineering activities with the engineering/maintenance/operations groups on-site or other external engineering groups.
- To support POWER PLANT and LNG facility needs in terms of mechanical system engineering modification.
- To ensure overhaul/outage preparation in regard to spare parts, liaison with OEM, contract staff and coordination with other internal/external parties is undertaken in a professional manner.
- To ensure technical correspondence, operating history and configuration records are maintained.
- Optimize the costs of maintaining power assets by improving mechanical maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leads the plant modification/improvement program to ensure required plant generation targets, availability and reliability are achieved in a safe, efficient, economic and environmentally sound manner.
- Report on every hazard, accident or incident.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ensures compliance with all ROI laws/regulation such as certification and inspection of various mechanical equipment.
- Develop maintenance standards and guidelines for Power Plant and LNG facility equipment.
- Develop spare parts purchasing plan for all Power Plant and LNG facility equipment.
- Responsible for mechanical condition-based monitoring activity of POWER PLANT and LNG facilities including management of contract manpower, scheduling, reporting and follow-up actions.
- Lead Investigation and provide reports and recommend corrective actions for Power Plant and LNG facility equipment failures and/or damage.
- Lead entry and maintenance of mechanical data into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Reviews subcontractors' proposals for services/equipment and submit evaluation for decision.
- Ensure technical correspondence, operating history and configuration records are maintained.
- Keeps the Engineering & Support Superintendent informed of plant operating status and equipment problems.
- Provides technical expertise and guidance to management and others inside and outside the company on engineering issues.
- Designs, coordinates, conducts, and evaluates mechanical/structural studies/ projects/ programs/systems, etc e.g., retrofit program, plant performance analysis, structural analysis and review/advise recommended repairs of various mechanical components.
- Reviews engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.
- Identifies need for and revises procedures to upgrade quality, clarity, and to reflect current technological and operational philosophies.
- Maintains accurate records and submits all required reports in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of 1-year and 5-year ahead operations budget.
- Carry out regular inspection, safety meetings to address plant safety.
- Accept personal responsibility for the health and safety of every worker under or assigned to his/her supervision.
- Responsibility for the safety operation of all facilities, infrastructures, plants, and equipment assigned to his/her supervision.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- Have minimum 7 years’ related experiences in similar role in Combined Cycle Power Plant
- Knowledge and experience with RCM, FMEA and risk management methods.
- Competency and knowledge of mechanical.
- Proficiency at conveying technical information.
- Advanced knowledge of the typical plant layout, equipment, and systems of a large industrial complex.
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
- Strong computer skills and be competent in all Microsoft Office software programs, as well as project-specific software.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; good in coaching/mentoring; good analytical; conflict resolution.
