Engineer Mechanical Downstream - Fixed Plant

Some of your duties will include:

• Designing and calculations, maintaining, implementing, or improving downstream maintenance equipment products, facilities, components, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
• Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
• Conferring with other functions, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
• Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and technical requirements by preparing mechanical systems specifications and technical drawings.
• Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
• Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or technical requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
• Investigate component failures, communicating results to Operations and Associates to aid in increased levels of safe production
• Oversee mechanical projects, new installations, including design, modifications and new installation start-ups, and shutdown.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a preventative and predictive maintenance program
• Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential mechanical engineering projects and studies.
• Preparing specifications for purchases of mechanical equipment and materials.
• Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
• Directly supervise the maintenance work to ensure that plant and equipment running well to meet the milling production.
• Set goals and coordinate the activities of with others Supervisor and Planner to ensure that schedule maintenance and emergency repairs are accomplished with minimal disruption to production schedule.
• Ensure that adequate resources are available for meeting scheduled maintenance and repair needs.
• Review all maintenance schedules and coordinates with other departments to assure optimal equipment and plant availability to meet business needs.
• Responsible for supervising all grinding mechanical maintenance activities and ensuring that safe work practices are followed. Conduct periodic safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with mining, safety, and environmental laws and regulations

What skills and experience do you need?

• Engineering qualification at Trade, Diploma or Degree level in a Mechanical field or equivalent industry with 8 years’ experience in maintenance of large downstream equipment;
• Has minimum 4 years’ experience working in similar role as Engineer Mechanical Downstream in field process upstream maintenance/ FIXED PLANT project management;
• Has frontline level operational inspector certificate (POP) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position;
• Strong leadership and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards;
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
