Material Control

Job Description:

• Responsible for coordinating and supervising material availability including planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the production cycle.
• To Conduct investigations of suspected out-of-balance items and makes corrections to inventory.
• To supervise and monitor storage of purchased parts and finished goods
• Resolves a variety of issues involving the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of the movement of materials through the production cycle.
• Coordinates the availability of materials with Purchasing, Production and Engineering.
• Reviews daily reports to monitor stock levels and demand patterns and compares this against the original forecast.
• Conduct investigations of suspected out-of-balance items and makes corrections to inventory.
• Assists in material planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts and actual demand.
• Helps maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting.
• Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
• Maintains and ensures accuracy of the perpetual inventory system.
• Enters transactions in real-time, to assure ERP accuracy.
• Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts and finished goods.
• Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect accurate value of inventory.
• Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.
• Organize and catalogue large batches of similar items and document any necessary updates to process and aid in inventory management.

Requirement:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any related discipline with relevant professional certification in Purchasing, Procurement or related discipline(s) in Mining Facilities and Services industry is desirable
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Material Controller is required
• Have good organizational skills; Excellent attention to detail; Have strong analytical skills; Safety first mindset; Good contractor management skills; Team player; Good interpersonal skills; High level Communication skills; Problem detection and resolution skills are essential.
• Expert with SAP software
• Working knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and government by laws
• Able to work within tight timelines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency of assigned tasks
• Good in communication skills in English both verbal and written; computer literate (Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel)
