Job Purpose
An MEP and QS Designer ensures that Wavin and our clients in the region receive high level piping design support, especially in BIM Revit.
They will support project sales teams on a daily basis whenever there is a chance to get involved in the early stages of project development (concept, design, documentation, collaboration, tender, specifying phases).
To perform the tasks well, the position needs the engineer to frequently travel domestically, cooperate with the sales teams and clients, maintain high level of local piping regulations knowledge, as well as represent the company physically at events, customers’ offices, expositions, construction sites and others.
Responsibilities
- Cooperation with Sales, Marketing and Technical departments of Wavin APAC
- Support to Wavin clients and employees in the area of QuickStream and piping design
- Client visits and other activities where travel is needed, like presentations, expositions, on-site support, etc.
- Training to Wavin employees and clients in the area of enhancing the piping design accuracy in BIM Revit
- Piping designing and re-designing especially in BIM Revit using Wavin Revit libraries
- QuickStream project support and designing both in AutoCAD and Revit, also using dedicated Wavin tools
- Maintaining and keeping good level of knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD softwares in MEP discipline
- Taking part in marketing and sales activities aimed at utilizing Wavin BIM Revit proposition
- Support the sales teams to enter the project and secure specification, ensure end sale
- To learn and maintain local, expert level of design knowledge regarding piping design, water and sewage in the region, including regulations and installation rules
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Architect, Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer)
- 5-7 years of MEP / piping designing experience (in the piping engineering / consulting / designer firm)
- 1-2 years on the construction sites, in the area of piping installation, plumbing.
- Knowledge of BIM Revit, AutoCAD
- Knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Good presentation and / or training skills
- Good knowledge of sanitary, water and sewage installations
- Local regulations knowledge regarding plumbing (roof drainage, sewage, water supply)
- Autodesk Revit experience
