Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of growing Logistic Software as a Service company in Indonesia to onboard a QA Lead to transform their testing culture to automation. This job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans in a timely manner, considering our startup's time constraints.
- Ensure that all testing entry criteria and dependencies are met by the vendor, working closely to expedite the process when necessary.
- Follow up on testing activities with the vendor, reviewing their testing plan prior to re- baselining, while maintaining a sense of urgency.
- Validate the testing status, progress, defect priorities, and testing sessions' minutes of meetings (MoMs) within the time limitations.
- Manage the sign-off process efficiently and review sign-off forms promptly.
- Conduct backlog management and coordinate with the vendor, keeping in mind the need for timely execution.
- Review and validate test scenarios and test cases, optimizing efficiency without compromising quality.
- Support in resolving testing issues promptly, employing problem-solving skills to minimize disruptions.
- Review and validate defects categorization, ensuring accurate identification and prioritization.
- Coordinate testing allocations to the Development and Integration Testing (DIT) team and business stakeholders, considering time constraints.
- Follow up with client stakeholders for defects re-testing and closure, emphasizing the urgency of timely resolution.
- Perform spot checks on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions to ensure compliance with the test plan and to meet time-sensitive objectives.
- Conduct impact assessments on potential project delays based on testing status and defect count, providing timely insights.
- Conduct defects analysis swiftly, identifying root causes and proposing solutions promptly.
- Prepare comprehensive testing reports in a timely manner, meeting the needs of stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the IT industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in manual and automated systems testing, covering functional and nonfunctional aspects.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing the testing lifecycle and leading a team of testing engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a relevant field.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team of developers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA) for project management and software development.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for continuous learning and keeping up with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of industry-standard testing methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks.
- Experience with Agile and/or DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
- Domain knowledge of finance, shipping industry, and eCommerce will be highly valued.
