The ideal person for this role is someone who is versatile in all aspects of the sales function.  The Sales Manager will need to be flexible to be able to support all aspects of sales and events.  With the varying responsibilities of this role, it will be important for the Sales Manager to be self-sufficient within their position and feel confident in taking initiative in order to protect the hotel’s results and achieve personal success.  The person must showcase both managerial level accountability, while also being able to flex into administrative responsibilities whenever necessary. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·       Selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customers

·       Handling leads from convention and visitor bureaus.

·       Prospecting new business from emerging markets

·       Conducting site inspections

·       Delivering effective proposals and maintaining well organized documentation of account interaction

·       Negotiating strong contract terms that protect Hyatt

·       Collaborating and leveraging partnerships with Hyatt National Sales and Visit Orlando

·       A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

·       Refined verbal and written communication skills

·       Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong organizational skills

·       A minimum of 2-5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred

·       Must be proficient in general computer knowledge

·       Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training

·       Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
