Supervisor & Qc Electrical Maintenance Facilities (Preventive)

Some of your duties will include:

·        To supervise and direct the activities of company maintenance (electrical - electrician) personnel

·        To ensure that adequate resources are available to meet production and maintenance needs

• Reports all accidents and incidents in the work group to enable management to identify areas for improvement in work practices.
• Communicates work group status to supervisor and interfaces with other departments.
• Supervise employees of the unit/work group to ensure that all jobs are completed to the required standard.
• Plan the daily work schedule and order materials and parts required to enable client needs to be met and resources used efficiently.
• Liaise with and coordinate field and workshop activities with other maintenance supervisor, planners and production personnel to resolve problems and set maintenance priorities.
• Schedules work orders, preventive maintenance, equipment, employee vacations and training.

·        Identify training needs and recommend on the job training or basic training programs to improve work group effectiveness and safety

·        Manage and develop staff including setting objectives, performance management, training & coaching, succession plan, and handling industrial issues

·        Liaise with and coordinate field and workshop activities with other maintenance supervisor, planners and production personnel to resolve problems and set maintenance priorities

·        Responsible for ensuring the job activities in civil maintenance area are meet with quality standard and compliance with the regulation, this includes but is not limited to inspection of corrective maintenance works, general inspection of tool and equipment

·        To coordination with related supervisor in regard for quality assurance according to company standards and company requirement;

·        Responsible for ensuring the job activities in ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE area are meet with quality standard and compliance with the regulation, this includes but is not limited to inspection of corrective maintenance works, general inspection of tool and equipment

·        To coordination with related supervisor in regard for quality assurance according to company standards and company requirement;

What skills and experience do you need?

·        Bachelor degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

·        Preferable have a relevant Trade Certificate

·        Have minimum 7 years’ experience as a Supervisor and QC Engineer Electric Maintenance Facility in the mining industry; Has an equivalent combination of training and experience are in preventive maintenance necessary;

·        Experience in Domestic electrical installations including white-goods, area lighting and general power distribution experience is essential;

·        Light industrial electrical installations experience is essential ; Have some experience on PLC and instrumentation

·        Preferable have knowledge of Medium voltage power distribution and reticulation, Sewage Treatment and Water Treatment Plant electrical controls operation, Three-phase power supply, motor control and protection and Generators up to 1,500kva

·        Hold an operational inspector certificate or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of positions; poses relevant technical inspector certificate

·        Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
