Technical Services Manager(Jakarta)

FUNCTION: Manager - Technical Services (Jakarta)

LOCATION: Jakarta, Indonesia

JOBTYPE: Permanent

GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

Optimize sales effectiveness & business performance : reinforce regional business delivering technical & operational support with customer vision.

  • Focused leader: Master the entire technical value chain of our segments (competition, operational practices, portfolio optimization, trainings & other technical collaterals) to maximize sales.
  • Trusted partner: Provide actionable technical expertise down to countries, distributors, end-users to build trust and ensure customer's satisfaction.
  • Environmental visionary: Build products application programs & deliver technical support with a focus on safe use of our products.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

OWNERSHIP

  • Cascade technical & operational expertise.

- Support Sales Team to gain customer confidence.

- Internal: Trainings, stakeholder management, tradeshows support.

- Customer product support: stewardship, trainings, technical advisory, product and quality complaint troubleshooting.

- Record customer interactions in CRM.

  • Collect and consolidate technical insights.

- Connect and engage with key customers and end users to gather user feedback and product insights.

- Plan and conduct see-to-believe and benchmarking trials to create confidence, gather technical insights and optimize treatment program.

- Execute registration and exploration trials under guidance of Solution Development.

- Order samples for both TS trials and commercial uses.

  • Support Marketing.

- Activation plan support, e.g. presentation.

- Competitive comparison, technical & operational inputs to MK portfolio.

- Other technical contents: FAQ, videos, customers feedback etc.

  • Steer Tech Services activity within the country.

- Ensure that Tech Services activities in country are aligned with governance and country/region priority.

- OPEX and T&E planning & steering.

CONTRIBUTOR

  • Products development: Provide customers feedback to SD prior products launch (pre-project & project phases) with a focus on operability.
  • Strategy: Report customers feedback & competitive insights to regional TS Head and Country Head for strategy definition.
  • Sales targets achievement & customers satisfaction.

KEY ENABLERS

  • Close interactions with Sales and MK Activation on activation plan, share market trends and competition innovations to market.
  • Close interactions with SD to communicate on project progress.

KEY WORKING RELATIONS:

  • Internal SEA Cluster Head, Country head, Commercial Manager, Plantation Segment manager, Territory managers, Business Support, Marketing team, Technical Services Manager. 3rd Party staff, Regional & Global technical & innovation team.
  • External - Plantation companies, PCOs, Public health specialists, R&D, Quality control, estate management teams), Distributors, sub distributors, research institutions, Industry Associations, RSPO.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE

Main requirements:

  • Engineering / University degree in agronomy / biology / chemistry.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of hands on technical field experience: sales, development or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical mind with excellent data collection and problem-solving attitude. High need to be able to pay attention to details.
  • Solid Entrepreneurial & structured mindset. Need to be able to plan, anticipate, benchmark, troubleshoot and innovate with focus on sales impact.
  • Outstanding communication abilities and interpersonal skills to effectively network & interact with a large variety of stakeholders coming from different levels, technical & cultural horizons (internal & external).
  • High level of perseverance & resilience, autonomy and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site visits and occasional out-of-region training.
  • English at professional level required.
