BTI Executive Search is currently helping our client, who is leading player in the financial services sector. They are looking for an experiences VP Data Engineering to help them scale up their business.

Position Overview:

As the Vice President of Data Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our data strategy, leveraging your extensive experience to drive impactful initiatives and foster a culture of innovation. You will lead a talented team of data engineers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions that drive actionable insights and fuel growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy, leveraging advanced analytics and cutting-edge technologies to drive business outcomes.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of data architecture and data warehouse solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Drive the adoption of big data architecture scaling and microservices best practices, optimizing our infrastructure for agility and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with the Data Science team to enhance actionable insights and drive continuous improvement in our data-driven decision-making processes.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that deliver value.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in Data Engineering, continuously evaluating opportunities to enhance our capabilities and drive innovation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with a proven track record of success in financial services or a related industry.
• Deep expertise in data analytics, data architecture, Data Engineering, and data warehouse solutions.
• Strong understanding of big data architecture scaling and microservices, with hands-on experience implementing scalable solutions.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of leading high-performing teams and driving results.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Proven experience working closely with Data Science teams to enhance actionable insights and drive business impact.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with a passion for leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making.
