JOB TITLE: Assistant HR Data Analyst
CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 month
HOURLY PAY RATE - circa £18 per hour
FTE EQUIVALENT: £38K
LOCATION: City of London 2-3 days per week
JOB PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE:
As an Assistant HR Data Analyst, your main objective will be to collect and compile HR data to support the wider people team and key stakeholders in developing effective people strategies and driving business performance. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and insightful data, producing reports, and assisting with data analysis to identify key trends and areas for improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the HR function and enhance organizational success.
REPORTS TO: HR Operations Analyst
Principal Accountabilities & Duties:
Maintain up-to-date establishment data, including family trees, to support workforce planning using real-time and historical data analysis.Provide data for all audit requests from internal and external stakeholders.Ensure high-quality, accurate, and insightful data is produced and maintained, collaborating with the HR team to ensure data integrity.Handle information requests and create ad hoc reports as required by the team, employees, and management.Assist in producing yearly gender pay gap information on the government portal.Collaborate in accurately producing all required HR data reports in agreed timeframes, using appropriate formats.Assist in business dashboard reporting, analysing data, highlighting key areas, and predicting trends for discussion with HR business partners and the HR Manager.Engage consistently with internal customers to understand and deliver their data requirements, suggesting changes for improvement when necessary.Contribute to transforming key HR transactional processes, such as absence management, to ensure data capture, recording, and monitoring for analysis, audit, and policy compliance.Identify opportunities for process improvement, refining processes and templates to enhance business efficiency and compliance.Utilize tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs.Monitor data quality and identify and remove corrupt data.Ensure all HR data is obtained, processed, and retained in line with GDPR regulations.Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to provide clear and accurate information in suitable formats for business use.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in data analysis, data manipulation, and problem-solving.
- Knowledge and/or experience in creating HR metrics.
- Experience working in a human resources function (desired but not essential).
- Responsive and organized.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish professional relationships.
