About the RoleIf you’re looking to be a part of a dynamic, data-driven team and an opportunity to hone your analytical skills, look no further. As a Junior Risk Analyst, you will be working in a team of talented Risk Analysts, researchers and data specialists to apply your analytical know-hows to solve risk challenges such as fraud, abuse and sabotage to make Gojek a Safe and Trusted platform. Working closely with on-demand business teams including GoFood, GoMart, Transport & Logistic etc., you will apply analytical solutions to manage risks in a super app ecosystem.
What You Will Do
- Analyze and mine a large pool of user behavioral data to investigate potential risk and fraud cases that are flagged by Gojek Risk fraud detection rules and models
- Provide insights and inputs for development and improvement of ML models to mitigate risk at scale
- Investigate consumer and merchant behaviors and transactions to determine presence any risk or fraud
- Identify likely fraud modus-operandi and provide feedback to risk strategy and data science teams for action
- Build a knowledge repository for data review SOPs across the entire Risk org.
- Develop and update risk reporting dashboards/BI, airflows and clockworks automation to accurately and timely report key risk metrics
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Quantitative disciplines
- Curiosity and keen interest in data analytics
- Good coding skills in more than one programming languages, e.g. Python, SQL, BigQuery
- Good communication and writing skills in English to present and engage with team and stakeholder about risk analysis
- Practical experience in data driven problem-solving roles is preferred
- Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Google Data Studio, Metabase is preferred by not required
- Experience in setting up automation processes through queries and scripts is a plus

About the Team
Our objective as Gojek’s Risk Team is to ensure a safe and trusted platform that our users can trust, rely on, and love to come back to. To manifest that objective, we analyze suspected fraud cases and customer complaints and propose resolutions & SOP to improve Trust and Safety for all Gojek users. We use big data with human intelligence to make the best decision. For instance, team members will work with Risk managers and Business teams to detect potential risks on Gojek platform and develop logic and algorithm to accurately establish the ground truth of the risk types and modus operandi and work with risk managers to come up with solutions to prevent and mitigate losses.
Our Risk Analytics team currently consists of members based in Indonesia, India and Singapore and we’re a tight-knit group who are bonded by two things: Trust and Safety and personal growth and well-being. We work hard and play hard, and support each other. What drives us is our shared sense of Trust and Safety. Risk Analytics encompasses the following 4 areas: risk performance analytics, risk metrics and foresight, risk research, risk data assets.
