The strategically located Data Centers will span various areas in Java and other regions.
Job Description
- Leads diverse teams of engineers, architects, and consultants to strategize, design, and execute Data Center projects within specified scope, budget, and timelines.
- Ensures that the design process aligns with industry standards and best practices while meeting the organization's requirements for capacity, reliability, and energy efficiency.
- Provides technical expertise in HVAC, fire protection, building automation systems, public health systems, electrical systems, networking, and security, optimizing Data Center designs for performance and reliability.
- Identifies and mitigates potential risks in the design and construction phases to ensure seamless completion of Data Center projects.
- Collaborates with and manages relationships with external consultants, vendors, and suppliers to source necessary materials and services for Data Center projects.
- Monitors project budgets and costs, making adjustments as needed to maintain adherence to financial constraints.
- Implements quality control processes to ensure error-free Data Center designs and construction meeting specified standards.
- Ensures Data Center designs comply with industry regulations, codes, and standards, including environmental and safety requirements.
- Maintains transparent communication with stakeholders, including senior management, providing updates on project progress and addressing concerns.
- Demonstrates flexibility, handling multiple job roles simultaneously, and meets deadlines.
Requirements
- Holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with a master's degree being advantageous.
- Possesses 7+ years of experience in Data Center design, engineering, or construction management.
- Prior experience in managing complex projects and teams is often a requirement.
- Exhibits strong technical knowledge of Data Center infrastructure, covering mechanical, electrical systems, networking, and security.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices is essential.
- Displays excellent leadership and management skills for effective team leadership and conflict resolution.
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders and convey technical information effectively.
- Demonstrates the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and make quick decisions to keep projects on track.
- Familiar with relevant regulations and standards governing Data Center design and construction.
- Holds certifications in project management, engineering, or Data Center design, which may be advantageous.
- Able to travel for site inspections and participate in testing and commissioning activities at factories and project sites.
