Job Summary
The Manager, Business Strategy and Narrative leads the Fedex Dataworks group that designs and develops the organization's strategic plan(s). Responsibility includes but is not limited to developing concepts into strategies including quantitative analysis and recommendations. This role screens plans for strategic fit, feasibility and profitability, prior to presentation to senior management. Manages input from all major business units to facilitate the integration of individual business unit plans, best practices, and global and multi-discipline perspectives. Presents information regarding strategic plans and initiatives to senior and executive management.
Job Description
- Establishes strategic narrative and the FedEx Dataworks north star as we move forward in the FedEx data and digital journey.
- Continuously assess the industry, customer needs, and technological innovation to ensure that forward movement and outcome orientation leads all work that we do.
- Support CEO office with narrative and presentations for strategic planning meeting within FedEx Dataworks, senior level meetings, and other executive level presentations and meetings.
- Supports change management strategy through pod immersion, operating health communications, and ongoing feedback forums to assist solutions architecture and delivery teams to achieve their outcomes.
- Leads line of sight and insight to our business architecture across FedEx internal optimization and digital tools and capabilities.
- Works with third party vendors.
- Support strategic narrative for Leadership to champion business transformation across the enterprise.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong strategic background and experience driving new business cases for first mover advantage.
- Background in crafting strategic narratives to create visibility and “forest through the trees” outcome orientation to business architecture- both internally within a business as well as new digital SaaS solutions.
- Developing narratives that translate from the highly technical to business outcomes and progress to that value.
- Experience leading and facilitating senior leadership level meetings and governance forums.
- Communications experience to craft stories and compelling messages that align to intended audience in the appropriate channels.
- Strong leader who has the ability to learn and understand our products and solutions and develop connectivity and line of sight across key themes for senior level updates and presentations.
- Experience with digital and SaaS solutions and cloud environments a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent. Has Five to Eight (5 - 8) years work experience in areas including, but not limited to: project management, quantitative analysis, forecasting, process improvement, or market/competitive analysis. Demonstrated leadership ability. Strong communications and human relations skills. Travel required.
Domicile Information:
This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role.
