Section Manager, Lean & Sustainability (Global Logistics And Warehousing)

The Section Manager, Lean & Sustainability (Global Logistics & Warehousing (GLWO)) will be part of a dynamic team in driving best-in-class Lean and Sustainability initiatives within a fast-paced Global Logistics & Warehousing (GLWO) environment giving competitive advantages for STMicroelectronics.

He/She will champion, organize and drive Lean programs, projects and practices at all GLWO worldwide operation sites and promote and coordinate Sustainability initiatives and actions within GLWO operations. Under his/her purview, the Section Manager will also lead and manage regular Management Review sessions with GLWO management team and Governance Committees on Lean Deployment and Sustainability actions, thereby providing development results, process improvements and sound recommendations.

Being knowledgeable in analyzing trends and benefits of Lean & Sustainability action deployments, he/she will establish dashboards for tracking and reporting results. He/She is also capable of managing proper documentation of procedures & processes of both Lean & Sustainability practices applied at GLWO level and ensures company polices, SOP, ISO Standards (if applicable), guidelines are applied to GLWO Sustainability initiatives.

As a GLWO Lean champion:

• Acts as a main liaison on Lean topics with Internal ST Stakeholders, collaborate to drive participation and best practices sharing with other departments on Lean programs.
• Provides coaching and organizes internal and external training and deploys effective Lean practices at all GLWO worldwide operations sites.
• To be a role model and promote continuous Lean culture and best practices sharing at all GLWO worldwide operation sites.
• Champion and manage a global consolidation roadmap on GLWO Lean journey on development actions and deployment.
• Manage proper documentation of procedures & processes of Lean practices applied at GLWO level and ensures company polices, SOP, ISO Standards (if applicable), guidelines are applied to GLWO Sustainability initiatives.
• Vendors/Suppliers’ execution and performance related to Lean and Sustainability projects in collaboration with GLWO operation sites.

 As a GLWO Sustainability champion:

• Acts as a main liaison and interface on Sustainability topics relevant to GLWO with Corporate Sustainability, to understand the Sustainability charters and translate into practical operational deployment for GLWO operation sites. Manage single communication channel with Corporate Sustainability on GLWO matters.
• To organize best practice sharing sessions with other stakeholders and collectively with warehouse and transportation operations recommend and drive Sustainability initiative and actions.
• Champion and manage a global consolidation roadmap on GLWO Sustainability journey on development actions and deployment.
• Manage proper documentation of procedures & processes of Sustainability practices applied at GLWO level and ensures company polices, SOP, ISO Standards (if applicable).

Qualifications and Skills Pre-requisites:

• Preferably a bachelor’s degree or Tertiary Level qualifications
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Logistics Operations Environment
• Candidates with Certification or qualifications in Lean and Sustainability equivalent will be an added advantage
• Proven track records in project management and execution skills
• Good Interpersonal Skills with ability to manage and communicate cross-functionally and at different level of employees
• Possess Leadership capability in engaging, building credibility, leading and influencing change across various stakeholders
• Strong problem solving skills
• High adaptability and flexibility
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suites
