PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $325,000-$400,000 annually. The full Pay Range is $250,000-$500,000 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training.

Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant.

Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Impact You’ll Make :

As the Senior Vice President, Infrastructure Engineering & Operations at BECU, you will play a pivotal role in guiding technology operations to enable business delivery and operations.

Your leadership extends to technology teams across Service Desk, Network & Telecommunications, Data Centers, System Administrators, Database Analysis, Cloud Adoption, Management and Command Center functions that support the current landscape and planned future expansion.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer, and in alignment with other senior leaders, you will deliver technology, creativity, and processes.

You will develop new technologies, services, and systems. Your critical eye towards problems and opportunities will be instrumental as you manage and develop effective teams at all levels and across multiple technology disciplines.

Most importantly, your hands-on approach will be crucial in catalyzing innovative infrastructure and operations capabilities to enhance overall capabilities and employee productivity.

What You’ll Do :

  • Set the Vision and Roadmap : Create a vision, roadmap, KPI, and Service Catalog to ensure effective business delivery for the credit union.
  • Align Infrastructure and Operations : Align an Infrastructure and Operations value map by linking targeted business outcomes with the future-state business capabilities required to achieve them.
  • IT Service Management : Define, develop, and manage a comprehensive and integrated IT Service Management landscape based on best-practice processes and related toolsets.

This includes delivery of a comprehensive IT asset management program.

  • Monitor Technology Performance : Ensure the effective monitoring and administration of the credit union’s technology applications and infrastructure performance.
  • Encourage Innovation : Cultivate creative infrastructure and operations capabilities that enhance capabilities and employee productivity.
  • Security Plan : Ensure the credit union’s technology infrastructure contributes to, embraces, and applies security plans in partnership with the Chief Information Security Officer.
  • Evaluate Emerging Technology : Evaluate emerging technology, industry trends, and innovations and assess potential impacts.
  • Implement Technology : Implement new technology systems and projects while meeting established services levels, financial targets, and milestones.
  • Lead Company-wide Programs : Develop, implement, and monitor strategic, comprehensive technology programs across the corporation to have reliable feedback mechanisms in place to level up the quality of service provided by BECU Tech.
  • Strengthen the team and culture : Manage employee engagement and promote a compelling employee value proposition to retain staff.

Create a culture that supports learning, collaboration, transparency, and inclusiveness. Provide guidance to the team in their roles and cast the BECU vision.

  • Lead Technology Operations : Lead a team of technology operations leaders dedicated to providing timely technology infrastructure results that enable and support the business.
  • Annual Planning : Capture tech initiatives in an annual plan (including timing, magnitude, priority, etc) to ensure new / unplanned initiatives have complete financial plans.

Lend your expertise in creating and executing the annual operating plan.

Perform Additional Duties : Perform additional duties as assigned in accordance with BECU competencies, compliance, regulatory, and Information Protection requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Minimum twelve years of people leader experience required.
  • Minimum eight years of technology infrastructure and operations experience at the executive level required.
  • Experience in creating cloud management solutions.
  • Ability to create self-service mechanisms to streamline infrastructure provisioning and ongoing management.
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging infrastructure technologies and practices.
  • Experience in maximizing effectiveness of nearshore / offshore resource models.
  • Experience working on transformational initiatives including Agile, DevOps, SRE, and cloud adoption at scale.
  • Understanding of ITIL.

  • Master’s degree.
  • Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills.
