Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with local advisors to oversee tax, payroll, and statutory compliance across diverse APAC countries.Engage with tax advisors to stay informed about any new or revised tax and statutory requirements, recommending necessary actions. Stay updated on legal changes through news releases, webinars, seminars, etc.Ensure timely completion of annual corporate tax filings, interim and quarterly submissions, including any provisional or estimated filings.Manage all required withholding tax (WHT) filings and VAT submissions.Oversee various tax filings such as property tax, transfer pricing, fringe benefits, etc.Ensure prompt receipt of tax refunds with thorough follow-up with tax advisors/authorities.Lead and oversee tax audits, providing necessary documents to tax authorities, addressing queries, and promptly handling related matters.Review tax provisions to ensure accuracy.Review and approve payroll processes.Ensure timely filing of employee annual income returns and all other statutory returns.Ensure compliance with legal requirements for Board of Directors and Shareholder meetings, completing and filing them on time.Report and file changes in Board members' details and other relevant changes to statutory authorities promptly.Ensure timely filing of all other statutory returns and handle secretarial matters.Job Requirements:
Possess a degree in Accountancy, preferably a licensed CPA.Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in tax planning and compliance with professional firms and/or commercial industries.Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities.Capable of working independently while effectively collaborating with a multi-geographic team to communicate tax issues and initiatives.Preferably possess a working knowledge of tax laws in various APAC jurisdictions.
