Job Responsibilities
- Manage all technical matters and ensure that safety is being given the highest priority
- Responsible for maintenance, repairs, planned maintenance and modifications to the vessels’ hull and machineries.
- Initiate innovations, savings and improvements within the area of responsibility.
- Monitor shipboard machinery – performance /deficiencies, preventive maintenance and repair works in accordance with planned schedules and budget allocation;
- Manage financial budgets and cost control for maintenance, repairs, stores, modifications and dry dockings, while ensuring compliance with Industry, Class and International regulations.
- Maintain, managed vessel in good order for class survey, PSC inspection, ISM audits and various vetting inspection, codes and guidelines;
- Cooperate and work across all onshore operation teams, such as procurement Crewing, QHSE, Commercial, and Operations, as required.
- Monitoring, guiding and advice engine crew in implementation of vessel plan maintenance system (PMS);
- Plan, coordinate and execute inspections and dry dockings of the vessels
- In charge of dry docking of our fleet
- Approve Service/purchase request for vessel technical matter;
- Monitor the quality of all service providers
- Prepare, excute and monitor docking works as approve by management;
- New building, SNP inspection, machinery inspection (FAT) as required;
- Exercise duties within budget and quality control;
- Monitoring and controlling effeciency of vessel fuel consumption;
- Conducting vessel inspection and machinery inspection as required;
- Dealing and coordination with vendor and yard for urgent vessel/ barge repair.
- Diploma IV from Merchant Marine School and has Certification of Engine Officer Class I from Marine Directorate General of Sea Transportation is a MUST.
Job Requirements
- 5 (five) years sea service experience as Chief engineer on minimum 3000 horsepower engine and/or 3 (three) years with offshore working experiences.
- You have demonstrated experience with technical applications and knowledge of diesel electric engines is an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Vessel technicalities and electrical equipment understand with Dynamic Position system and troubleshoot and has experience and/or knowledge with docking vessel.
- Has passion for excellence and working in a fast-paced technical operations environment.
- Has good interpersonal and communication skills, and sharp analytical skills.
- Possess Shipboard ISM / ISPS code, Marine insurance, and Seamanship knowledge.
- Planned Maintenance system experience.
- Willing to travel through vessel operated area.
- Fluent in English both oral and written and fluent in handle Microsoft Office with the new version and familiar with Autocad.
