What you’ll do :
- Prepare and submit vessels annual budget for management approval
- Carry out quarterly inspection of vessels and prepare inspection reports and deficiency lists
- Liaise with shore repairers to obtained the best prices and shortest completion time for any repairs
- Prepare dry-docking specifications and submit to shipyards for quotations. Evaluate the best offer and propose to management for approval
- Attend vessels dry-dock or plan major repairs to ensure minimum off-hire time by effective coordination with ship staff, class surveyors, agents, vendors, sub-contractors, insurance underwriters and other interested parties involved.
- Liaise with Master & Chief Engineer to ensure all statutory surveys are carried out to the satisfaction of surveyors
- Verify/analyze operational and performance data submitted by vessel
- Monitor general condition of hull and machinery condition. Initiate preventive or corrective actions when necessary (Sailing)
Criteria we’re looking for :
- Bachelor degree from Marine Engineer with minimum Class II Certificate
- Have minimum 5 years experience as Marine Engineer and sailing experience
- Good analytical thinking, proactive, and integrated person
- Good communication skill, negotiation skill, and able to work collaboratively with all function related
- Willing to embark on a sailing adventure if the need arises.
- Proficient in English
