Job Description: We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie/Junior Sous-Chef to join our culinary team at Gaise Brunch and Bistro. The Chef de Partie will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. This includes coordinating with other chefs, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and quality standards
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff members
- Ensure that all food preparation areas are clean and organized
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and other team members to develop new menu items
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist with menu planning and cost control efforts
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role for 1-2 years
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods in western and asian cuisine
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training program is preferred
