Project Overview and Role :
CATALYZE is a $ million 5 to 8-year program, designed tocatalyze $2 billion in private capital, especially to underfinanced socialsectors and higher risk countries (especially low-income and post-conflictcountries) around the globe, complemented by a cross-cutting inclusion ofgender-lens investing.
Our aim is for investors to explore and findcommercially viable opportunities and approaches to creating jobs, developingsustainable social services, tightening, and rationalizing supply chains, andadvancing inclusive growth.
The CATALYZE Asia Social Protection (ASP) activity in Indonesia focuses on improving socialprotection and economic empowerment of vulnerable female workers in Asia.
Through partnerships with the Government of Indonesia, notably BPJS Kesehatan,and private partners, CATALYZE will support BPJS Kesehatan to promote femaleinformal sector workers’ enrollment with and continued premium payment forJaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN).
CATALYZE collaborated with BPJS Kesehatan toco-create innovative interventions with the private sector that align withcurrent BPJS Kesehatan objectives to address challenges to JKN enrollment andis hiring a team for the implementation phase.
Position Location : Jakarta, Indonesia
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
The Accountant will play a crucial role within our Jakarta,Indonesia office, ensuring the effective financial management and reporting forthe CATALYZE Program.
Reporting to the Deputy Team Lead, this position demandsa combination of technical accounting proficiency, regulatory knowledge, andstrong communication skills.
- Oversee implementation and ongoing adherence to Palladium’s finance and accounting procedures.
- Draft monthly fund transfer requests and budget reports.
- Manage the Indonesian bank accounts according to company policies and procedures.
- Track vendor / subcontractor invoice submission, review for compliance with USAID cost principles, and ensure prompt payment.
- Conduct spot checks, coordinate internal project audits, and act as focal point to external project audits as required.
- Oversee payroll for country office staff in compliance with Indonesian labor law; and maintain, manage, and protect confidential information within the project.
- Provide timely and accurate financial reports to Palladium as required.
Required Qualifications :
- A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible financial accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit or international development setting.
- Proven organizational and analytical skills to manage financial records and support financial decision-making.
- Knowledge of US Government regulations governing financial management in international development projects.
- Professional level of oral and written fluency in English and Bahasa and strong interpersonal skills are required.
