Job Description
This person will provide global leading information services and products to our clients, both in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry and in the Trade and Durables industry. Our data offers comprehensive and timely information on market shares and category penetration, competitive sales volumes and insights into distribution, pricing, merchandising and promotion. By combining this detailed information with our professional consultative services, we offer valuable insights and expertise that help Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Technical Consumer Goods (TCG) brands and retailers improve their manufacturing, marketing and sales decisions. The role will be working in the commercial team.
Responsibilities
Business Development
- Create demand and provide relevant product solutions that answers client business issues/opportunities
- Develop a winning sales framework for retaining current and approaching new clients
- Work on strategy and approach to win back lapsed clients
- Build a strong pipeline through regular engagement with clients
- Build the company’s positive image through active participation in professional associations and industry conferences/seminars
- Contribute to the short-term strategies and business plans for the growth of the business unit based on global and regional direction
Financial Management
- Achieve key financial metrics: revenue, profitability and cash collection, as well as other related Business Development objectives
- Ensure proper pricing and contracts are applied according to company's policies and guidelines
- Understand the company's financial guidelines such as forecast and pipeline management
- Use sales technology and digital tools to do work efficiently by recording prospects, forecast pipeline and convert sales
- Monitor the actual financial performance against budget/forecast and ensure the implementation of actions that will lead to the achievement of the targets
About you
Curiosity drives your interest in what moves the market. A proven new Business Development person, who can build and execute sales strategy and plan, and be accountable to sales operations, such as forecast and pipeline management. A team player, who has the ability to collaborate with peers, and contribute to the management team of NielsenIQ.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in the related field
- 8+ years' experience in the Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Market Research, or in the consulting agencies;
- Prior working experience with the Consumer-Packaged Goods or Technical Consumer Goods accounts;
- Has an extensive network in the CPG and/or TCG industry
- Has knowledge of research techniques and methodologies would be an advantage,
- Has strong analytical skills and business commercial acumen;
- High communication skills (communicating with clients, partners, and thought leadership for both inside and outside the company).
- Open to learn new digital tools for sales and marketing
