Responsibilities

This is an opportunity to join Labamu as Business Development Lead based in Indonesia.

We are looking for a highly driven and collaborative leader in the area of Business Development in fintech, who is responsible for leading the client acquisition and partnership strategy for Labamu.

Business Development Role

  • Accountable for client acquisition vision, translating the vision into tangible Business Development strategy and ensuring its successful implementation to impact business KPIs.
  • Nurture and grow the existing partnerships to ensure they are fulfilling relativity and partner’s commercial, product, and strategic goals.
  • Research and identify overall pipeline of potential clients and partners
  • Make and give presentations to prospective clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Enable partner deal support, cross functional planning, relationship management, and analytical insights
  • Negotiate contract terms with partners, who will be helping the platform scale rapidly
  • Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
  • Developing our customer acquisition processes to drive maximum commercial results through operational excellence.
  • Enable partner deal support, cross functional planning, relationship management, and analytical insights
  • Develop an understanding of the competitor landscape across various markets.
  • Manage relationship with relevant authorities, corporates, foundations, and community partners to ensure effective management of partnership programmes.

Skills / Experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with leading client growth via Business Development, sales and managing commercial partnerships.
  • Cross domain experience preferred - F&B, fashion, retail, telecommunication, advertising agency, FMCG, and Tech companies.
  • Prior experience in negotiating and executing channel partnership agreements to acquire clients will be an advantage.
  • Possessing an existing network within the SME and / or Start-up ecosystems in SEA / ASEAN will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrable record of success in digital marketing in a fast-paced, high-growth B2B / B2C Tech environment.
  • Experience with marketing automation and programmatic digital platforms.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technologies and tools, including digital marketing, social media, and CRM systems
  • Familiarity with the fintech scene in Indonesia and across the Asia-Pacific region
  • Experience forming partnerships with startups.
  • Highly adaptable, quick learner, self-starter with a structured mindset to approaching problem solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of other Asian languages (Bahasa / Malay) a plus

About SC Ventures

SC Ventures ( SCV ) was established in 2018 with the purpose of Rewiring the DNA in Banking by bringing three distinct areas together :

  • The eXellerator Lab , enabling innovation at large in the Bank by supporting intrapreneurs and their ideas, collaborating with fintech’s through the SCV Fintech Bridge and engaging with clients and co-creation ideas
  • The Investment Fund ( Fund ), tasked to acquire minority stakes in fintech companies ( fintechs ) whose technology has been successfully validated in the Group
  • Venture building, with the objective of exploring new business models ( ventures ), in the way it engages existing new customers and markets.

There are team members (excluding individual ventures), including dedicated colleagues from the Group’s support functions, based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Nairobi, London and San Francisco.
