Director of Human Resources for award-winning NIHI Sumba in Indonesia

NIHI Sumba in Indonesia is hiring a Director of Human Resources to assist with the following aspects of our people-centric business:

• Managing all staff and labor relations, from recruitment to training and development.
• Developing and upholding the team's operational and behavioral policies.
• Coordinating all employee onboarding paperwork including procurement of work permits or visas, where applicable.
• Enacting property procedures on compensation, incentives, benefits and more.
• Ensuring employee wellness and safety.
• Leading staff training to ensure high-quality services are delivered to guests.
• Responding to all employee requests and providing guidance and leadership regarding employee morale, relations, and discipline.
• Leading staff communication for General Manager and in turn representing employee interests in managerial meetings.
• Supporting, upholding and guiding NIHIsphilosophies concerning hiring, employee relations, supervision and disciplinary action to result in consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Serving as a role model at NIHI and demonstrating professional leadership skills that are fully aligned and in support of NIHIs company culture.
• Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a bonus.
• Proven experience in HR management and general administration, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor laws and regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
