About Our Client

As we expand our footprint, we are seeking a highly qualified Legal Counsel to join our team and play a key role in navigating the legal landscape of our gym franchise business.

Job Description

1. Company Registration and Compliance:
2. Oversee and manage the company registration process, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements.
3. Stay abreast of changes in corporate laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
4. Permit and Licensing:
5. Handle the acquisition and maintenance of all necessary permits and licenses for gym operations.
6. Work closely with regulatory authorities to obtain approvals and renewals as required.
7. Contract Management:
8. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including franchise agreements, lease agreements, and vendor contracts.
9. Provide legal guidance on contract interpretation and enforceability.
10. Consumer and Employment Rights:
11. Advise on consumer protection laws and ensure the company's practices align with these regulations.
12. Address employment-related legal matters, including contract disputes and compliance with labor laws.
13. Advisory on Local Law and Tax:
14. Provide legal guidance on local laws impacting the business, with a particular focus on tax regulations.
15. Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure the company's tax strategy is in line with local requirements.
16. Dispute Resolution:
17. Develop and implement a solid commercial approach to resolving legal issues and disputes.
18. Represent the company in legal proceedings when necessary, or work with external counsel as required. The Successful Applicant
    1. Bachelor's degree in Law; admission to the Indonesian Bar is a plus.
    2. 3-5 years of experience in a top-tier law firm in Indonesia, with a focus on corporate and commercial practice.
    3. Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and employment laws in Indonesia.
    4. Experience in handling company registration, permit and licensing matters.
    5. Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and management.
    6. Familiarity with consumer protection laws and employment regulations.
    7. Knowledge of local tax laws and their implications on business operations.
    8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    9. Ability to work collaboratively and provide practical legal advice with a commercial mindset.
