As we expand our footprint, we are seeking a highly qualified Legal Counsel to join our team and play a key role in navigating the legal landscape of our gym franchise business.
Job Description
- Company Registration and Compliance:
- Oversee and manage the company registration process, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements.
- Stay abreast of changes in corporate laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Permit and Licensing:
- Handle the acquisition and maintenance of all necessary permits and licenses for gym operations.
- Work closely with regulatory authorities to obtain approvals and renewals as required.
- Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including franchise agreements, lease agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Provide legal guidance on contract interpretation and enforceability.
- Consumer and Employment Rights:
- Advise on consumer protection laws and ensure the company's practices align with these regulations.
- Address employment-related legal matters, including contract disputes and compliance with labor laws.
- Advisory on Local Law and Tax:
- Provide legal guidance on local laws impacting the business, with a particular focus on tax regulations.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure the company's tax strategy is in line with local requirements.
- Dispute Resolution:
- Develop and implement a solid commercial approach to resolving legal issues and disputes.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings when necessary, or work with external counsel as required. The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Law; admission to the Indonesian Bar is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in a top-tier law firm in Indonesia, with a focus on corporate and commercial practice.
- Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and employment laws in Indonesia.
- Experience in handling company registration, permit and licensing matters.
- Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and management.
- Familiarity with consumer protection laws and employment regulations.
- Knowledge of local tax laws and their implications on business operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide practical legal advice with a commercial mindset.
