An international brand within home appliances serving both B2B and B2C market is looking to bring on board a Manager of Government Relations as part of their growing business. This role will be based in Cikarang. With their presence of 50 over years, they are one of the market leaders, and as such, they believe their business in Indonesia will be further strengthen by bringing the right candidate to be part of their aggressive plan in 2024 onwards.
Job Description
As the Manager of Government Relations , you will be reporting to an executive level, and will be expected to be hands on, as this is a newly created role. Other responsibilities include:
Formulating and executing strategies in engaging with government's stakeholders, and ensuring that alignment are within the company's objectives.Monitoring regulatory development that can impact the business's interests, and providing recommendations to key stakeholders.Cultivating, building and maintaining relationships with key government bodies, officials, agencies and other relevant parties.Advocating for policies that will support the company's objectives and goals through direct engagement, lobbying and coalition building.Ensuring that the company complies with all local relevant laws, regulations and reporting requirements that are still within the global standard.Collaborating with communication team to develop messaging and communication strategies related to government affairs and public policy.Working closely with all internal stakeholders (operations, finance, HR, commercial and other teams) in both local, regional and global.Providing guidance and support during crisis or situations where governments are critical to the company's reputation and operations. The Successful Applicant To be successful in this role, you have to possess excellent communication in both English and Bahasa. Proven track records with at least 5+ years working experience in similar role (Government Relations) are required to be shortlisted. Other requirement include:
Bachelor degree from reputable university, ideally graduating from Political Sciences, Law, Public Policy or related field.Industry: home appliances / electronic are highly preferred. But other industries that can be considered include heavy-manufacturing sectors or labour-intensive industry.At least 5+ years in Government Relations role from relevant industry (ideally multinational).Strong understanding of Indonesian government structures, policies and regulatory frameworks.Having the right network to Kementerian Investasi Kementerian Investasi/BKPM, Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Manusia, Kementerian Perindustrian, Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup.Proven ability to effectively communicate complex issues to diverse audiences.Excellent presentation, negotiation and willingness to work under minimal supervision.
