Responsibilities:
- Oversee the mise-en-place preparation and conduct sample tastings for management in the assigned section.
- Lead Commis Chefs and other kitchen staff, ensuring all food items are prepared professionally and meet the highest standards.
- Maintain stringent preparation and cooking standards consistently.
- Manage proper stock levels for mise-en-place and assist in the requisition of food supplies as necessary.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and comply with HACCP requirements.
- Promptly report any issues, including the malfunction of machines or equipment.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in restaurants with large numbers of guests.
- A strong passion for pursuing a career in high-end kitchen environments.
- Pleasant demeanor, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a commitment to teamwork.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Noteworthy leadership skills will be considered a significant asset.
- Extensive knowledge of food & beverage and menu planning.
