Responsibilities:
- Design and develop menus keeping in mind customer preferences, culinary trends and sustainability of ingredients.
- Manage menu rotation and culinary innovation.
- Responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, including staff organization, schedules, and tasks.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of the kitchen.
- Plan and manage raw material inventory.
- Responsible for ingredient selection and quality.
- Develop the skills of chefs and kitchen staff.
- Provide direction and motivation to achieve quality standards.
- Ensure that all dishes served meet set quality and hygiene standards.
- Conduct regular testing and evaluation of dishes.
- Know culinary trends and various cooking techniques.
- Learn and implement innovations in dish presentation.
- Manage the kitchen budget and control operational costs.
- Participate in menu price planning and evaluation.
- Coordinate with the restaurant manager and other staff to ensure operational cohesion.
- Provide input to marketing and promotional strategies.
