Job Description
Lead the identification and assessment of Market Risks associated with the bank's trading and investment activities.Collaborate with trading desks and other relevant departments to understand risk exposures and evaluate potential impacts.Oversee the development and implementation of robust risk measurement models, including Value at Risk (VaR) and stress testing.Stay updated on industry best practices in risk modeling and implement improvements as needed.Conduct in-depth analysis of the bank's portfolio to evaluate risk concentrations, correlations, and potential vulnerabilities.Provide insights to senior management on the risk-return profile of the overall portfolio.Prepare and present regular reports on Market Risk metrics, exposures, and trends to senior management and relevant committees.Ensure effective communication of Market Risk issues to key stakeholders.Contribute to the development and enhancement of Market Risk policies and guidelines.Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.Collaborate with trading desks, treasury, and other departments to align risk management strategies with business objectives.Work closely with quantitative analysts, technology teams, and other risk management functions to enhance risk measurement capabilities.Stay informed about global market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events.Provide market insights and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.Proven experience in Market Risk management within the banking sector, with a track record of leadership.Strong understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and risk measurement methodologies.Proficient in risk management tools and systems.Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
