Job Description
1. Oversee day-to-day operations of AP activities and supervise work of AP team. This includes clearly keeping the team updated regarding process, policies or any finance information that will impact the AP operations and month end closing activities
2. Ensure adherence to 3 way match concept in the review of invoices and payments and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of recording in the Accounting system.
3. Continuous analysis of AP processes in order to develop and implement process improvements leading to accuracy and efficiency.
4. Build and maintain employee and vendor relationships. Interface with Department Managers and vendors responding to questions and AP concerns. Ensure that everyone in the AP team observes and maintain good User and Vendor relationships.
5. Maintaining accurate financial GL and AP sub-ledgers. Maintain correct and complete financial records of third-party vendors and employees.
6. Lead and supervise the team with month end closing tasks. Review and ensure complete posting of month end information, monitor recurring costs and ensure correctness of cost accrual data needed for month-end closing purposes
7. Coordinate and liaise with cost center owners to ensure timely GR creation and to gather and collate data needed for cost accruals.
8. Responsible for monthly AP reports, analysis and balance sheet reconciliation of AP accounts
9. Assist the AP Manager with other AP ad hoc duties as may be assigned
Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or ACCA or any equivalent qualification preferred
2. At least 5 years work experience in Finance & Accounting. Specific AP Supervisor/Asst Manager position for minimum of 2 years. MNC experience is a plus.
3. Experience in handling a team. Strong leadership skill to effectively direct, manage and mentor team members.
4. Analytical mind and should be pro-active. Ability to analyze information and processes and should have strong attention to details
5. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, vendors, and department requesters. Must have the ability to develop strong working relationships
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Must be proficient in English language, strong in written and verbal communication skills
8. Should possess strong skills in Excel Applications and knowledge of ERP accounting software such Oracle is preferred
