Position Summary :
Initiate and develop the sales opportunities for the assigned activities in the Personal Care Ingredients market with responsibility for maintaining customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities :
- Achieve the sales targets as set by the department sales manager and constantly maintain a high standard of customer service through active canvassing and cooperation with the entire department team.
- Present and demonstrate, as applicable, the products and services to the customers by frequent and planned visits, by personal visits, or accompanied by superiors and principals’ representatives as required.
- Prepare quotations and proposals, or cause quotations and proposals to be made, and follow up aggressively by utilizing a proper customer tracking system.
- Submit the daily order to Sales Support to prepare the sales order and delivery order for delivery. Liaise with the customer on the delivery schedule if necessary.
- Monitor customers’ payment schedules and collect payment from them if necessary.
- Perform effective market penetration by generating a high number of inquiries from the market segment assigned and advising superiors in due time of sales opportunities where special assistance is required to secure orders.
- Report and update the customer tracking and information system on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis using the approved department reporting system.
- Giving input and information to the Superior regarding to the preparation of Annual Sales Budget.
- Present the company and project a level of professionalism consistent with company’s standards when contacting customers and when communicating with principals by keeping abreast of company policies and of the principles products and services.
- Acquire sound product knowledge by keeping up-to-date with principals’ and other technical literature.
- Be aware of customer needs, market trends and competitive products and positioning by spending a majority of his time in the field.
- Make a market survey and a market report pertaining to the assigned industries and products.
- Must be able to carry out other responsibilities (reports, surveys, accommodating principals, & alike) in the absence of the supervisor.
- Keep high-confidentiality information regarding the company's confidential matters.
- Observe proper professional behavior and attitude in executing one’s job responsibilities.
- Any other tasks within your field of competence as assigned by the management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy/Chemistry from reputable university
- Min. 2 years experience in the distribution Personal Care ingredient industry
- Knowledge of the Personal Care markets
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work under minimum supervision
- Good command in English
- Having SAP Knowledge is preferable
- Good computer literacy
