Description

- Conduct regular cost analysis and cost variance assessments to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage the costing process for all products manufactured, ensuring accuracy and consistency in cost calculations.
- Collaborate with production teams to establish standard costs for materials, labor, and overheads.
- Monitor inventory valuation methods and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Review and analyse manufacturing processes to streamline operations and reduce production costs.
- Prepare and present cost reports and analysis to senior management to support decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional teams in cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Oversee the budgeting process for manufacturing costs and track actual performance against budgeted targets.

Profile
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with relevant certifications or advanced degrees considered a plus.
- 8+ years of extensive experience in cost accounting and costing methodologies within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Proficiency in using cost accounting software and ERP systems, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to senior management.
- Proven leadership abilities to lead and motivate teams, drive process improvements, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
