Job Description
- Develop and implement costing strategies and policies to optimise production costs and maximise profitability.
- Conduct regular cost analysis and cost variance assessments to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage the costing process for all products manufactured, ensuring accuracy and consistency in cost calculations.
- Collaborate with production teams to establish standard costs for materials, labor, and overheads.
- Monitor inventory valuation methods and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Review and analyse manufacturing processes to streamline operations and reduce production costs.
- Prepare and present cost reports and analysis to senior management to support decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional teams in cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Oversee the budgeting process for manufacturing costs and track actual performance against budgeted targets.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in costing and recommend changes or adjustments to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
