Description

• Develop and implement costing strategies and policies to optimise production costs and maximise profitability.
• Conduct regular cost analysis and cost variance assessments to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage the costing process for all products manufactured, ensuring accuracy and consistency in cost calculations.
• Collaborate with production teams to establish standard costs for materials, labor, and overheads.
• Monitor inventory valuation methods and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Review and analyse manufacturing processes to streamline operations and reduce production costs.
• Prepare and present cost reports and analysis to senior management to support decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional teams in cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Oversee the budgeting process for manufacturing costs and track actual performance against budgeted targets.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in costing and recommend changes or adjustments to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.

Profile

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with relevant certifications or advanced degrees considered a plus.
• 8+ years of extensive experience in cost accounting and costing methodologies within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytic skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Proficiency in using cost accounting software and ERP systems, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to senior management.
• Proven leadership abilities to lead and motivate teams, drive process improvements, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement costing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment with evolving priorities and challenges.
