Job Description
- Conduct thorough analysis of commercial credit applications, assessing the financial stability, industry risk, and overall creditworthiness of clients.
- Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate financial statements, cash flow projections, and other relevant financial data.
- Oversee the management and monitoring of the commercial credit portfolio, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of credit risk policies with business objectives.
- Develop and enhance commercial credit risk policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and communicate credit risk policies to ensure compliance across the organization.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, working closely with underwriting and business development teams.
- Provide guidance on structuring complex credit transactions to minimize risk exposure.
- Stay abreast of relevant industry regulations and ensure that commercial credit risk practices comply with local, national, and international regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory issues and changes.
- Lead and mentor a team of credit risk professionals, providing guidance and support in complex risk assessments.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the credit risk team.
