Job Description
Conduct thorough analysis of Commercial Credit applications, assessing the financial stability, industry risk, and overall creditworthiness of clients.Utilize quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate financial statements, cash flow projections, and other relevant financial data.Oversee the management and monitoring of the Commercial Credit portfolio, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate them.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of Credit Risk policies with business objectives.Develop and enhance Commercial Credit Risk policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Implement and communicate Credit Risk policies to ensure compliance across the organization.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, working closely with underwriting and business development teams.Provide guidance on structuring complex credit transactions to minimize risk exposure.Stay abreast of relevant industry regulations and ensure that Commercial Credit Risk practices comply with local, national, and international regulatory requirements.Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory issues and changes.Lead and mentor a team of Credit Risk professionals, providing guidance and support in complex risk assessments.Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the Credit Risk team. The Successful Applicant Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Commercial Credit Risk management.Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) preferred.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.Strong clientele in Shipping, Mining, Manufacture, Agrobusiness, FMCGIn-depth knowledge of Commercial lending products and services.Proven experience in developing and implementing Credit Risk policies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
