Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential clients, market trends, and opportunities for growth within the Contract Logistics sector.
- Identify key decision-makers and stakeholders within target companies and develop strategies to engage and build relationships with them.
- Business Development Strategy:
- Develop and implement a strategic Business Development plan for Contract Logistics, outlining targeted industries, geographical regions, and key accounts.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create compelling sales materials, presentations, and proposals tailored to the needs and objectives of prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business requirements, challenges, and goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the operations team to develop customized logistics solutions and pricing models that meet the specific needs of clients.
- Prepare and present proposals, including cost estimates, service offerings, and value propositions, to prospective clients in a clear and compelling manner.
- Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and aligned with company objectives.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review and finalize contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue forecasts for Contract Logistics business.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for management, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Proven experience in Business Development, sales, or account management within the logistics or supply chain industry, with a focus on Contract Logistics preferred.
- Strong understanding of Contract Logistics services, including warehousing, distribution, transportation, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions to diverse audiences.
